Rolex GMT Master II in “Oystersteel”aka Pepsi

Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master was first released in 1955 originally designed for pilots to aid them in navigation and it soon became the official watch of Pan American World Airways, better known worldwide as Pan Am, the most prominent American intercontinental airline at the time.

Rolex has constantly been playing around with the bezel in different colors, single and as well as two tone and which is one iconic feature of the GMT Series.

Baselworld 2018 Rolex for the first time brought the GMT Master II together in a  Jubilee bracelet and bi-directional rotatable Oystersteel bezel with iconic two-colour Cerachrom insert in “Pepsi” ceramic. Equipped with the Calibre 3285 which happens to be one of the best in watch making today. Calibre 3285 incorporates the Chronergy escapement patented by Rolex, which combines high energy efficiency with great dependability.

The 40-millimeter diameter Oystersteel GMT II watch comes with a 70-hour power reserve and is water resistant to 100 metres. The bracelets on the new GMT-Master II are equipped with the Easylink rapid extension system.Rolex had patented this system 1996, and allows the wearer to increase the bracelet length by 5 mm, providing additional comfort. They are also fitted with an Oysterlock safety clasp, a mechanism that prevents accidental opening. All GMT-Master II are covered by the Superlative Chronometer certification.
