Ulysse Nardin Minute Repeater features gold cranes that move up and down in time to the chimes of the minute repeater. The glimmering champlevé rig, rises majestically from the black sea, with its delicately wrought waves in the foreground, while in the background, another golden rig works industriously away.

The champlevé enamel technique is a difficult art to master. There are only a handful of artisans in the world who can work with this 12th-century technique. The three-step process starts with the engraver drawing and carving the desired design on a gold plate in 3-D form. Then it goes to the enameler, who fills the shapes with different colored enamels. The third and final step involves the engraver bringing the polished dial to life by chiseling away the burned enamel.

The North Sea Minute Repeater is powered by Ulysse Nardin’s Caliber UN-73 manual winding movement. It offers a 36-hour power reserve, hour and minute function, and minute repeater function along with animated Jaquemarts. Limited to just 18 pieces, the watch comes with a black leather strap with a gold folding buckle.

The new Octo Roma models will initially be available in five different versions that are clearly designed for universal appeal: a full-gold model with chocolate-brown dial and brown alligator leather strap, a two-tone steel and gold model with white dial and brown alligator leather strap and three stainless-steel versions ,black dial and stainless-steel bracelet or white and chocolate dials with matching leather straps.

Swiss watchmaker Swatch Group is going to increase the prices of its luxury watch by 5-10% in Europe, its CEO said on Wednesday, given the soaring Swiss franc against the euro triggered by a recent change in monetary policy by the Swiss National Bank (SNB).
“We will adjust prices in Europe for some brands between 5 to 7 percent, to 10 percent,” said CEO Nick Hayek in an interview with Bloomberg.
The price increases primarily concern the prestige watches Breguet, Blancpain and Omega as well as the high-end brand Longines, according to the head of the world’s leading watchmaker. Hayek said he will be “more reluctant” to raise prices for Swatch and Tissot, which sell models at lower prices.
The Victorinox Swiss Army I.N.O.X. was originally introduced at Baselworld in 2014 in a 43 mm stainless steel case.

For 2017, Victorinox has announced a new version with the same basic specs, a locking crown, with a new carbon composite case. The dial now features “Explorer” type numerals at 3, 6, and 9. the military chapter ring in red on the flange is superimposed on the sapphire glass.

Zenith regularly celebrates its heritage by relaunching some of its iconic vintage models, here it is giving life to a new chronograph with a delightfully vintage air The Heritage 146. While it picks up the retro look of its predecessor, with the same 38 mm case, the 146 is driven by a new high-frequency movement powering a chronograph function and ensuring a 50-hour power reserve, whereas the original 146D calibre beat at the rhythm of 18,000 vibrations per hour, had a 38-hour power reserve and displayed only the hours, minutes and small seconds. In a nod to the 1960s, today’s El Primero 4069 movement orchestrates a dial layout typical of that period. A racing-style strap is available in a choice of brown or blue rubber lined calfskin leather.

Available in two dial options, tropical brown or blue sunray-patterned with rhodium-coated baton hands.
Lab-ID Luminor 1950 Carbotech 3 Days operates without traditional liquid lubrication which are normally a must on the inside of the watch,Instead Panerai have used different materials and coatings based on carbon which help in maintaining the friction between the components of the movement.

The LAB-ID is powered by a very special version of the P.3001 movement, the P.3001/C where C stands for carbon. The bridges and the plate of this semi skeletonized movement are made from a low friction composite with Tantalum-based ceramic, minimizing pivot friction. The P.3001/C has only four jewels and no external lubrication is needed.

The massive 49mm case is made of Panerai’s trademark “CARBOTECH”, a composite material obtained from very thin sheets of carbon fibre compressed together with a special polymer at a controlled temperature.
