The original OMEGA CK2998 was released in 1959 and has since become one of the most sought-after vintage Speedmasters in the world. OMEGA has used this classic model as inspiration for the new OMEGA Speedmaster “CK2998” Limited Edition – an updated model for a new generation of fans.
The classic 39.7mm-wide case features a polished blue ceramic bezel and a white SuperLuma Nova tachymeter scale. On the dial itself are applied rhodium-plated indices, that familiar lollipop chronograph seconds hand, as well as the hour and minute hands, all of which feature SuperLuma-Nova.
This colour theme continues on the bezel with its tachymeter base scale, the minutes track, as well as on the leather strap which includes subtle beige stitching.
The CK2998 features a silver dial with blue chronograph sub-dials and polished luminous hands and hour markers, the chronograph feature is operated by use of the two pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock. Mechanical manual wind calibre 1861 movement with a maximum power reserve of 44 hours and a sapphire crystal glass. Limited to only 2,998 pieces worldwide the number of which can be seen on the case back.
